My journey into speech pathology began with a deep curiosity about how humans growcommunicateand heal. I’ve always been drawn to understanding the science behind health and developmentwhich first led me to the University of Adelaidewhere I completed a Bachelor of Health and Medical Sciences.I then went on to complete my Honours in Neonatal Medicinegraduating with First Class Honours through the Robinson Research Institute and SAHMRI at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital. My research explored autophagy—a vital cellular process involved in healing and regeneration—and its potential role in neonatal health. That experience not only deepened my appreciation for scientific discovery but also ignited my passion for combining research and clinical care to make meaningfulreal-world change.In 2022I followed that passion into the Master of Speech Pathology at Flinders Universitywhere I gained hands-on experience across schoolschildcare centreshospitalsand private practices. Each placement reinforced my belief that communication and feeding are far more than skills—they’re essential connections to the world around us.Todayas a Speech Pathologist at Virginia Hill Speech Pathology in North AdelaideI work with children and families across a wide range of needsincluding (but not limited to) ASDADHDPDAand complex feeding challenges. I’m a trained SOS Feeding Therapistwith a strong interest in paediatric feeding and swallowingparticularly within early intervention and complex cases such as premature infants and children with cerebral palsy.
